I decided to jump start my modeling career in NYC and needed to put together a really strong portfolio to get signed by an agency. I found Joyce on-line and thought it was great that she specialized in helping models build a complete portfolio. Our day together was incredible. Joyce shared all her experience and insight with me throughout the shoot, gave such great guidance and tips to help us get those ‘money’ shots and was unbelievably candid and sincere with her feedback. We ended up getting more great shots than we knew what to do with! Joyce’s genuine excitement when I was able to take her direction and suggestions and put them into action was such motivation for me. She also has such a strong network of makeup artist and stylists. My artist, Francisco, was absolutely superb. He has such great experience in the industry and is a delight – definitely ask for him when you work with Joyce!
One week after receiving my portfolio from Joyce, the following happened:
I walked into an open call for an agency and the Head Booker asked for my portfolio while I filled out paperwork. She opened my book and instantly took an interest, asking me for my measurements and experience. She said she wanted to send me for a casting in an hour. She sent me straight to the Talent Manager, who looked through my book and loved it. She said she hadn’t seen a book this good in a long time and was really, really impressed with the shots! She offered me representation right then and there, and I went to my first casting as soon as I walked out the door!
All thanks to Joyce and her vision! She is such a pleasure and I will definitely be going back to Joyce!

Superb photography. I highly recommend Joyce Anderson’s Photography studio for a beautiful set of photographs (corporate headshots) that I used to post on the LinkedIn professional website. Joyce really understands how to use lighting and posing to highlight facial features for excellent photos. She showed me my photos during the photo shoot and asked for feedback. Result – I was thrilled with the photos. One of her photos will do more for your looks than a week at the spa.

My wife and I bought a log home in Becket, Massachusetts in the Berkshire’s as a weekend getaway from NYC. As we started to decorate, we used many photos that her dad had taken out west of cowboys and horses. We then added an old cigar store 7 ft wooden Indian and kept going with saddles and more. It became quite the cowboy and Indian theme.
Sitting one night in front of the fireplace I said I would really like a family portrait over the fireplace. The only option in my mind was all of us in cowboy hats. The kids thought I was crazy.
We contacted Joyce Anderson and discussed our needs. She made a trip up to our home and scouted locations that would enhance the background of the photo. Finding a horse ranch near our home, she asked us all to suite up and meet her there.
What a fun time we had walking around the ranch and taking photos of us in different poses. Joyce was so helpful in getting us to laugh, setting up for the perfect shots, and making suggestions that would produce the perfect portrait.
Once we chose the picture we wanted from the multitude of fabulous photos taken, she recommended printing the photo on canvas in a black and white somewhat sepia tone. WOW INCREDIBLE!!!
I literally come up on the weekend, light a fire, and stare at that portrait every night. It is an AMAZING centerpiece to be enjoyed for generations to come.
